The park, with its radiant colors and cheerful murmurings, seemed like a mockery to Poe’s soul. He drifted through the throngs of people, his demonic essence hidden from their mortal gaze. The laughter and mirth surrounding him were as distasteful as they were ironic. They understood nothing of profound delight, of suffering and desire.
As Poe wandered through the park, his attention was drawn to a figure in the distance.
It was Anonim.
The angel he had crossed paths with numerous times before. They had engaged in many fights, as was common between their opposing natures - an angel and a demon. Yet, there was something about Anonim that continued to captivate him, even though they were sworn enemies.
“Well, if it isn’t our favorite little guardian angel,” Poe sneered, his voice a dark, menacing growl. He stepped closer, maintaining his disguise. “Always so self-righteous, always looking out for the mortals. Protecting them from the likes of me, are you?” He chuckled cynically as he stood in front of Anonim, his eyes scanning their every move.
